Apple assembled about 55 million iPhones in India in 2025, up from roughly 36 million units the year before.

iPhone assembly in India is carried out by Foxconn, Tata Electronics and Pegatron. The increase in production there is largely driven by US–China trade tariffs and by the Indian government’s manufacturing incentives. According to Reuters, Apple plans to produce most of the iPhones destined for the US market in India by the end of 2026; China, however, still accounts for the bulk of global iPhone production.
