Apple TV+ has released the full trailer for its new sci-fi series “Pluribus” — from Vince Gilligan, creator of the famous Breaking Bad — offering a comprehensive look at the mysterious story starring Emmy-nominated actress Rhea Seehorn.

The story

The nine-episode series follows Carol, the only unhappy person in a world where, after a mysterious event, everyone has become unnaturally happy. She takes on an unexpected mission: “to save the world from happiness.”

Release dates

Pluribus premieres on Apple TV+ on Friday 7 November 2025 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly episodes until 26 December. Even before the first season airs, the series has been renewed for a second season.

A different style and atmosphere

Unlike Gilligan’s previous crime-focused work, the show has no crime or drugs; it focuses on deep characterisation, psychological situations and emotional shifts between dark moments and humour.

Production team and cast

Alongside Rhea Seehorn, the cast includes Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television, with Vince Gilligan, Gordon Smith and Alison Tatlock as executive producers.
