Türkiye’s first dedicated 5G technology laboratory will be set up at Teknopark Istanbul by ULAK Haberleşme AŞ.
5G, for which the countdown to nationwide rollout has begun, is set to affect a wide range of fields, from industry and logistics to agriculture, health, transport and defence. The main goal is to increase the localisation of this technology and reduce Türkiye’s technological dependence on other countries. With this step, Türkiye is expected to become a centre for producing domestic 5G technologies and supplying them to the global market — a development that, with 5G’s high speed, capacity and efficiency, will bring fundamental changes to the country’s technology ecosystem.
