As part of measures by the Cappadocia Area Presidency (Kapadokya Alan Başkanlığı) to preserve the region’s historic and natural fabric, quota limits have been set for tours using off-road vehicles.
According to a written statement from the authority, quotas have been set for ATV, UTV and jeep safari tours to protect the area’s natural, geological and cultural values. To offer visitors a safer, more comfortable and controlled experience, the number of vehicles permitted for each travel agency was determined after reviewing applications from tour companies wishing to run safari tours.
