According to the Istanbul Regional Directorate of Meteorology, heavy showers are forecast in parts of Istanbul, Yalova, Kocaeli and Sakarya.
Rain will be locally heavy, especially in the north of both the European and Asian sides of Istanbul and in the areas mentioned. Meteorological officials warned of the risk of flooding, waterlogging and disruption to urban and intercity traffic, and urged residents to take precautions seriously.
